Kuhns Bros. Enterprise contract crews selectively harvest approximately 2300 acres of Eastern White Pine, spruce and hardwoods. But log homes are built with more than just wood. Other components are an integral part of a log home, which is why Country Log Cabins chooses only top of the line, name-brand components and materials:


Andersen. The Andersen 200 Series is the Country Log Cabins standard for all double hung, casement and awning windows, with the 400 Series standard for all specialty windows and patio doors. Andersen windows never need painting, work like a sun block to help protect against ultraviolet light, use natural wood to create a timeless beauty and insulate a room as well or better than the walls that surround them.

Butylog. Butylog is a high quality, permanently soft, tacky sealant which is specifically designed to seal out air and moisture in log homes. Butylog contains a high percentage of virgin butyl rubber to enhance its sealing properties and aging characteristics. It has a very high cohesive strength to expand and contract with the log home while maintaining a constant seal.

Kwikset. Kwikset is America's #1 selling lockset. For sixty years, millions of families have relied on Kwikset for security and peace of mind. Kwikset UltraMax Signatures line is the Country Log Cabins standard, which is the ultimate in strength and style, with premium security features, elegant accents and refinements.

Sika Flex Caulk. Sika is a global leader in specialty chemicals for construction. Sika Flex Caulk is a high performance joint sealant for the log home construction industry, sealing joints between logs, exterior trim, perimeter caulking of windows and doors, skylights, smoke vents, air conditioning equipment, etc.

RMAX Roof Insulation. RMAX is a leading manufacturer of commercial, industrial and residential insulation products. Country Log Cabins uses RMAX insulation on their beam and purlin roof systems, while their 2x12 rafter roofs include a batt insulation.

Wood Preservative. Country Log Cabins uses a premiere, highly durable preservative stain containing UV blockers which protect the finish from damaging ultraviolet rays. It allows the logs to breathe, providing long-term protection and water repellency by penetrating deeply into the wood.

TAMKO Shingles. The Elite Glass-Seal® is Country Log Cabins' standard shingle, which is TAMKO's highest-quality 3-tab shingle carrying a 25 year warranty. An upgrade is available, which is a premium asphalt architectural shingle designed to give the rugged beauty of wood shake shingles without the high costs or liabilities.

Environmentally Friendly Pesticide. Country Log Cabins uses a minimum risk pesticide designed for use in exterior coatings to deter and inhibit insects from burrowing through or crawling on exterior coatings.

Therma-Tru® fiberglass doors offer five times the insulation of wood, virtually eliminating air infiltration problems. American Heritage Crafters. American Heritage Crafters (AHC) markets home furnishings and accessories to the log home consumer. AHC currently contracts with 45 artisans, offering a full line of 3,450 high-end furniture, lighting and accessory products, which are all handcrafted and made in America.
